# Purrse

> Purrse is a cat-themed expense tracker app for iPhone and Android. People record spending, income, transfers and IOUs across cash, bank accounts, credit cards and digital wallets. A family of cartoon cats keeps each type of money. Purrse is private and offline-first: it never connects to bank accounts and never reads SMS.

- Transfers such as ATM withdrawals, cash deposits, wallet top-ups and credit card bill payments are never counted as spending
- Sign in with Google, Apple or a one-time email code; no passwords
- Data is stored on the phone first and synced to the user's own account; each user can only read their own rows; account deletion in the app removes all server data
- No ads and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs

Not a fit for: people who want automatic import from bank accounts or SMS, budgeting for businesses, or investment tracking.
